Clinical Instructor
Dr. Khalil Khalil is an Orthopedic surgeon at the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie
Chagoury School of Medicine. His clinical focus in Orthopedic surgeries includes
foot and ankle surgeries, reconstruction surgery, arthroscopy, traumatology, and
sports injuries.
Dr. Khalil has been practicing exclusively in Orthopedics settings, in multiple
university medical centers such as CHU Pupan Toulouse (France), Riviera Chablais
Hospital Vevey (Switzerland), and is now working in Lebanon as an Orthopedic
Surgeon.
Dr. Khalil earned his medical doctor degree from Balamand University Beirut in
2011. He completed an Orthopedics residency at Balamand University in Beirut in
2016, then he accomplished a one-year internship (DFMS) in 2017 at Purpan
Hospital – Toulouse, France. In 2018, he moved to Switzerland and worked for 2
years as a Junior Consultant in the Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology
Department at Riviera Chablais Hospital.
During his professional career, Dr. Khalil attended many instructional courses
including the international course of Minimally Invasive Surgery of the foot
(MIS) – Munich – Germany, Total Ankle Arthroplasty course – Tubingen – Germany,
Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy course – Munich – Germany. Adding to that, he earned
the French Foot and Ankle Surgery diploma (DIU) in 2019. Dr. Khalil has multiple
published articles in the International Journal of Surgeries and Lebanese
Medical Journal. He also participated as a speaker in multiple international
conferences and is a member in the French Association of Foot and Ankle Surgery
(AFCP) and the European Foot and Ankle Society (EFAS).
